Governor Henry McMaster stopped by Multi-Pack Solutions on September 29, 2021 to take stock of the medical contract manufacturer’s processes and products manufactured and shipped from right here in the Upstate.
“We’re a solutions driven organization, 350+ employees strong, and proud to be part of the supply chain producing a broad range of products serving the pharmaceutical, personal care and consumer markets . During the height of the pandemic, Multi-Pack quickly ramped up manufacturing for a multitude of products that supported COVID-19 pandemic recovery efforts,” said John Niemi, President and CEO. “And now we’re growing our product lines to include life-saving emergency response products that can treat trauma, assist in surgical procedures, and improve patient outcomes. These products will be utilized by military and first responders. Governor McMaster’s visit is very timely, as we are in the planning phase for our second expansion at the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center (SCTAC).”
In 2019, Multi-Pack expanded its production and sales operations by moving into a 125,000-square-foot facility at the SCTAC. Niemi added the company is in the process of evaluating an additional $10 million, 75,000 square foot expansion to support the Company’s forecasted growth.
Governor McMaster and many others at the state level are encouraging manufacturing investment in the medical supplies and pharmaceutical industries within the State. During his visit, the Governor toured Multi-Pack’s lab services and production areas.
